Open Health Data Platform

Open Health Data Platform Website

The Open Health Data Platform was developed by the Digital Catapult and Mastodon C to stimulate data science innovation.

The aim of the platform was to demonstrate the potential to innovate with new sources and types of linked health data to SME innovators in the fields of data analysis, data visualisation, service design and web and app development. It also intended to demonstrate to public and private sector data owners the economic and service enhancements possible through opening and integrating data by using common standards.

The Open Health Data Platform site took data from sources like the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) and showed how it could be turned into visualisations and analysis to answer specific questions for an organisation.
