How being cyber secure can save you money

A primary objective of HMG’s National Cyber Security Strategy is to make the UK a safer place to conduct business online. However, determining the benefits of cyber security and knowing where to start are a significant challenge for many organisations. The Cyber Essentials Scheme is a new government-backed cyber security certification scheme that sets out a baseline of cyber security suitable for all organisations. The scheme’s five security controls, when implemented correctly, can prevent around 80% of cyber attacks. Organisations wishing to do business with the government (and, increasingly, in private sector companies) are now required to demonstrate compliance with Cyber Essentials at tender and/or contract award stage.

Find out how cyber essentials works, how it can benefit your company, what the requirements are for achieving certification, and how to do all of this cost-effectively and without too much effort.
