BOC Pit Stop: Combining data to better understand customers

In the UK and Ireland BOC delivers gas to over 400,000 customers ranging from large industrial clients to medical and hospitality. As a large organisation, they have multiple points of interaction with their customers spread across different departments and functions, generating multiple operational and customer data. This data is however spread across a number of live projects relating to customer insight discovery in specific functional teams such as finance, logistics or customer service. The challenge to the organisation is to find ways to provide a deeper understanding by integrating these existing cross-functional programs and data, in such providing a better understanding of their customers.

Why you should get involved:

BOC is interested in identifying collaboration partners for developing solutions, as well as learning about plug and play technologies that can support discovery of customer insights.

Innovators could also benefit from involvement in upcoming collaborations with BOC and other activities promoted by Digital Catapult.

Who should attend?

We are interested in hearing from companies that use innovative methods to discover customer insights by integrating and analysing data from multiple sources. It will be of value to companies working in data analytics including the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Qualitative research could also be complementary to the data analytics work.

We are looking for innovators with knowledge and solutions in:

  • Cleaning and combining data from multiple sources
  • Customer insight discovery
  • Modelling and simulation of customer behaviour
  • Data analytics, AI and Machine Learning techniques
  • Behavioural analytics
  • Qualitative customer research organisations
